While some people might argue that there are no cons to adoption, some adoptees will disagree. The life of an adopted child is not an easy one. One of the first things you learn as an adoptee is that you should be grateful that your parents adopted you.

The adoption system in the United States does not provide much support for adoptees once the paperwork is signed. In fact, they may never be checked in on ever again. Of course, there are great adoptive parents out there, but there is an ideology that all adoptive parents are saints. In reality, they’re all just people who wanted a family and they may either have good or bad reasoning for wanting that family.
The pros of adoption are obvious. Children who didn’t have homes and families are now supposed to be taken care of.
